Science on Tap: Location, Location, Location – Benefits of better mapping
Science on Tap: Location, Location, Location – Benefits of better mapping
Location data has been part of our lives for decades now. Join us to discuss how new and more accurate mapping and tracking is leading to new applications, and discoveries. Discuss how advanced technologies and information processing are advancing the field. Discover what local companies and researchers see for the future of location data. Panelists will include: Ken Bazydola, Product Manager SpotOn GPS Fence (https://see-sciencecenter.org/adults/) events are informal discussions with local scientists and experts on a particular topic. Science on Tap is a monthly adult education program offered by the SEE Science Center, sponsored by Cambridge Trust. This Season we will be using SEE's new secure online portal to take reservations to attend Science on Tap discussions. We ask that if you are unable to attend after making your reservation to please call us at 603-669-0400 to cancel. 500 Commercial St., Manchester, New Hampshire, United States, 03101, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/306002
Webinar – CORRECTION TO TRADITIONAL FORMULAE FOR RELIABILITY ESTIMATION AND QUALITY SAMPLING REQUIREMENTS
Webinar – CORRECTION TO TRADITIONAL FORMULAE FOR RELIABILITY ESTIMATION AND QUALITY SAMPLING REQUIREMENTS
FREE Webinar This talk will present a correction to a widely used set of equations used to perform reliability estimation and quality sampling sample size determination. The new formulae are very easy to implement and result in considerable efficiency improvements for a given confidence level. As presented at the 2021 IEEE International Integrated Reliability Workshop conference, the former chi-squared based approach is supplanted by a gamma distribution using the Kerman neutral prior. We explain the origin of this correction and why the original formulae were faulty. Speaker(s): Dr. Charles H. Recchia, Agenda: 11:00 AM Technical Presentation 11:45 AM Questions and Answers 12:00 PM Adjournment Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/306625
