Please join us for an informal dinner. Agenda includes social hour, tour of the SETA building, dinner and informal introduction to many professional organizations available in the area. The event is aimed at introducing women to STEM careers. We are looking for WIE members and all IEEE members who would like share their career experiences to join us. WIE / YP Annual Fall Hike and Picnic
Please join us for the fall foliage hike. Bring lunch and good hiking boots. We will be hiking Welch and Dickey off the Route 49 in Thornton NH. Meet at 9:45 in the Welch and Dickey parking lot. Hike starts at 10. Look for the IEEE banner. There are 3 options: Option 1 Full hike 4.4 miles loop through picturesque ledges with spectacular views. This hike is moderate to challenging. Option 2 First Ledges. This hike is for hikers who want to experience the beautiful views of New Hampshire foliage, but may not be interested in climbing ledges. The distance is about one mile out. Have lunch or snack at the first ledges and enjoy spectacular views. Climb back down while the main group heads for the rockier part. Option 3 For the non-hikers, drop off the hikers and drive 5 more minutes along Route 49 to the beautiful Waterville Valley. --------------------------------------------------------------- Finish the hike with some food and socializing. There will be snacks, music and drinks. Park in Town Square parking lot, head to Town Square and look for IEEE banner next to the Ice Arena in the grassy area. Bring the entire family, kids, friends. The more the merrier. If it’s warm enough you there is swimming in the pond. --------------------------------------------------------------- ******* This is NOT part of the event but it may make it easier to attend and extend the fun activities. For those who would like to make it Fall Foliage Weekend there are some hotels you may want to consider. Hotel stay is not covered, but if you stay in the Valley most hotels provide Freedom Pass which includes: golf, tennis, bike rental, boat rental, rec department activities, full athletic club access and more.
