This event is hosted by IEEE NH Comm/Sig Society within IEEE. It originates from AnD (Analytics and Data) TechCast. Date & TimeJan 9, 2025 (Tomorrow) 12:00 PM EST Description Generative AI is the current rage, with untold numbers of projects attempting to build GenAI chatbots or provide customer value in "just a matter of minutes." The reality, of course, is quite different: Organizations need a solid platform for development and experimentation to prove out the fruits of their labors. Join our three Developer Evangelists at Oracle as they lay out the case for the Oracle AI Microservices Sandbox as a zero-code development platform. Best regards Agenda: Virtual event. This event is hosted by IEEE NH Comm/Sig Society within IEEE. It originates from Brookings Institute. How will artificial intelligence impact security relations between the United States and China? US and Chinese perspectives Amid growing strategic competition between the United States and China, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key factor shaping global power dynamics. As bilateral relations become increasingly strained between these two major superpowers, ongoing dialogue around critical technological and national security issues is necessary to reduce miscommunication. Over the past five years, the Brookings Institution and Tsinghua University have convened an unofficial U.S.-China Track II dialogue on AI in national security. This collaboration has yielded significant contributions, including parallel glossaries of AI terms and agreements to emphasize the importance of maintaining human control over nuclear decisionmaking. What lessons can be drawn from sustained dialogue, and how can it inform how the United States and China will relate to each other in this vital area? On Friday, January 10, the John L. Thornton China Center at Brookings and the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University will host a panel of U.S. and Chinese experts to analyze how AI will influence national security issues facing both countries. The event will feature moderated discussion followed by audience questions. https://www.brookings.edu/events/how-will-artificial-intelligence-impact-security-relations-between-the-united-states-and-china-us-and-chinese-perspectives/?utm_campaign=Events%3A%20Foreign%20Policy&utm_medium=email&utm_content=340958866&utm_source=hs_email Please register here and at this meeting site.
